Sketching & Styling
This brief came in two parts:
Designing outfits for a couple of our choice for 4 different occasions; street, red carpet, wedding, and a vacation. This part of the brief focussed on sketching and technical drawing, while keeping in mind the couple’s style and not necessarily our out design style. I chose to design for Alyssa Lee and Jacob Blythe, a instagram couple based in Australia.
The second part was focussed on styling and how the choice of styling and setting can create different moods. For this section we had to use a simple black dress and black suit and create three photoshoots depicting different vibes. These photoshoots would include a couple in different locations as well as a flat lay.
Styling Photoshoot & Video
For my photoshoot i decided to show 3 different stylings of a black dress and suit in situations that you wouldn’t usually wear them. These situations being a grocery store, tennis court, and in a swimming pool.
I wanted the mood of each situation to be very different from each other. The grocery store having a more serious feeling, the tennis court being fun and cute, and the pool being fun and wild.
For my video i decided to make a series of campaign videos advertising the brand of champagne Freixenet. The point of these videos was to show how the champagne could be enjoyed in all situations under the catch phrase ‘taste the thrill’. Each short video comes with a question at the start, persuading viewers to post their own versions of their thrills, creating an online challenge.
The campaign is a series of four videos. One main long one (video1) showing all the different situations, and then 3 shorter ones focused on each situation; grocery store(video2), tennis court(video3), and pool(video4). Each location has a different camera effect to highlight their differences, grocery store is filmed on a security camera for an edgy effect, the tennis court is filmed on a VHS camera for a home video feeling, and the pool is filmed at night with bright blue lighting for a party feeling.

Flat Lay
For my flat lay i wanted to do something completely different to the photoshoot. I decided to make the styling for an office. I included many objects that fit into an office setting such as paper, computer mouse, coffee, and tacs, as well as the garments and accessories fit for a day at the office.
I decided to display the flat lay on multiple stacked boxes to create dimensions while also making it interesting to the eye. I feel like this set up could be used in many different ways to show stylings and could even be used as a store front window display.
